I come every six months (not heard of on the NHS!) and I'm always seen promptly and with kind staff. I grind my teeth so I've had two mouth guards now! The process is much easier here than at the orthodontist where they used to put the wax in your mouth. Here it's a wand and it makes a digital photo of your mouth and the guard fits perfectly every time.

If I could give Smil 10 stars it still wouldn't be enough!I contacted Neil as I had just finished invisilign/crowns and bonding with a dentist in London and was so unhappy with my results.I live local to Smil but thought going to London id get fabulous results/ treatment. I spent the last 18 months back and forward to London. So much time and money (on travel) and to come away really unhappy was gut wrenching.Anyway, contacted Neil to see if he could make right for me.Neil from the start was honest and informative.He's gone above and beyond what I expected. I was recommended bonding for my middle 2 lower teeth. I had already had the invisalign but had a couple of gaps due to receding gum line. I wasn't pressured into doing anything but thought it made sense as needed new retainers. The procedure took about an hour and a half and it was a little uncomfortable but only a little. I barely felt the injections going in which I had been feeling a little anxious about and Neil Underhill's nurse ( whom I forgot to get a name for), was absolutely lovely and kept checking in with me. After it was done, I couldn't believe the difference and I am so happy I had it done. The clinic makes you feel at ease from start to finish. Fantastic commiunication and easy payment options, although it was very reasonable for the work that went into it!.Thank you all the staff at Smil!

I recently completed my Invisalign journey at Smil, starting in September where I had a treatment plan picked that worked best for me and my history of gum issues. My health was always put first in all decisions made. Started wearing my aligns in October and finished 20 trays by mid May of this year. The process is seamless and simply amazing, with reassuring regular check up appointments. I then finished my journey with whitening, composite bonding on four teeth, and some reshaping of two other teeth - this gave me my finished smile and I cannot be happier. Neil managed to fit me in last minute to solve an infected wisdom tooth before Christmas and have since had a more general dental check up & hygienist.Having had my fair share of dental work over the years, I can say that this is by far the best clinic I have ever been to. I am not someone to write an open review but I recently visited Smïl and the dental clinic is truly a hidden gem in Chatham. I was beyond impressed with the level of professionalism and care I received from the dentist and his nurse. Dr Neil was exceptionally outstanding. The treatment was so precise and seamless that I felt no signs or symptoms from the tooth I had been suffering with for months. It’s as if the filling isn’t even there!Needless to say that the rest of the staff at the clinic were incredibly friendly, welcoming. It took me around two years to work up the courage to start, as I was worried about the commitment—thinking I’d need numerous appointments to straighten my teeth and concerned about wearing retainers 24 hours a day for at least six months.Now, I wish I’d done it years ago! I’ve disliked my teeth for over 20 years, but the process turned out to be much simpler than I imagined. Adjusting my routine slightly was well worth it. Most of the Invisalign treatment is managed via an app, and I only needed three appointments over six months.As for the composite bonding, it wasn’t nearly as intimidating as I expected. In just three hours, my teeth were completely transformed!I highly recommend Smil and Dr. Neil. If you’ve been considering treatment and want a beautiful smile, this is definitely the place to go.

I went to Smïl to have my 4 front teeth corrected they were old crowns and very gappy. I have just had my treatment finished with Dr Underhil and I am so over the moon with the results. After my Invisalign’s & whitening, we only needed 3 teeth bonded. I also went for the fixed retainer. They look absolutely incredible! A great big thank you to Marcela Neil and the team who were involved in my treatment 😀I was a nervous terrified wreck when I first went to Smil I had bleeding gums moving teeth they looked terrible. They recommended going to the gum clinic in Maidstone for treatment which was the start of my journey, a few sessions my gums stopped bleeding and teeth were not moving.Went back to Neil and he has transformed my front teeth 😬 at last I can smile again which I have not done in at least twenty years.I am not scared anymore infact I can see Marcela the hygienist and Neil the dentist on the same day without shaking 😅I would highly recommend this Dentist practice everyone is so friendly and very reassuring.

I have had a fear of the dentist my entire life and had taken Covid as an excuse to not go for almost 4 years. However, with my wedding coming up, I knew it’d be wise to go to the dentist in spite of my fears, just to check everything was okay. I found Smil online and seeing it was fairly local to me, I decided to book in with them. When I arrived, it was totally spotless and the reception staff were so friendly and could not do enough for me. Dr Neil Underhill was so professional and friendly and kept me calm through the entire check up. He even took the time to explain every single thing he would be doing before doing it. Unfortunately, it was discovered I would need root canal which really put the fear of God in me, but again, he remained calm and talked me through everything. Fast forward to now and the root canal is done (done by KentEndo who come into Smil to perform this - they were also amazing!) my crown has been put in by Neil himself and my fear of the dentist has now gone! Thank you so much to the team at Smil for restoring my faith in dentists! You’re all superstars! 🌟

Just finished with an absolute 6 STAR experience at Smïl, Dockside Outlet. It all starts with the incredibly customer centric engagement from Elle, their wonderful practice administrator. I've never felt so relaxed at a dentist like I do at Smil. I reached out to Smil recently in the hope to get some reassurance and advice (after a failed attempt at my now old dentist) on some composite bonding I've been wanting to get for over a year! Neil is fantastic in what he does and how he does it. He explained everything fully, talked through my options and his recommendations. I came to Smil in April 23, my confidence was low and I felt like I couldn’t smile in pictures. I was very self conscious of my crooked teeth and was very anxious. I had a consultation with Dr Neil after a recommendation and cried at my first appointment telling him how much getting this done would mean to me and how much I would love to have a perfect smile for my wedding day. The process was easy and they was kind, understanding and empathetic. I’ve now finished my treatment and I cannot thank them enough on how much they have helped me. I now cannot stop smiling, my confidence has grown and now I have a perfect smile for my wedding day towards the end of the year. I highly recommend them to anyone and will continue to use them as my dentist. Thank you to everyone at Smil!

I had a terrible experience with another dentist with my composite bonding and I honestly couldn’t go out to work or the house they were awful best way to explain is I looked like I had two tic tac teeth and was recommended Smil by a friend and was seen asap and was instantly at ease with all the staff, my teeth were sorted asap and now can’t stop smiling won’t be going back to the old dentist. I joined Smil one year ago in the hopes of creating my Invisalign journey. I had been to various dentist surgeries prior to Smil and was disappointed with the upselling tactics used; one surgery stating I needed a full set of veneers to achieve my dream smile. I eventually found Smil after a friend recommendation and the experience was completely different! The staff were friendly and truthful throughout, and not once did they try to upsell me an overally expensive product I did not need. I found Smil to be pioneering in their dental techniques and their staff incredibly knowledgable in their field. My Invisalign journey has been a breeze thanks to them and I would definitely recommend them!

Amazing experience. They are very friendly and i got an appointment so quick. On the day i was able to get the treatment i needed done in the same appointment by Dr Neil Underhill. He was so helpful and explained what i needed done. I also had Marcela the hygienist help with cleaning my teeth after. Again, so kind and was quick. Excellent service as always from Neil and the team. Very responsive and attentive. Needed a temporary crown refitted after it dislodged on Sunday.my fault.. ( tip jelly bean and temporary crown not to be mixed!) booked in next day and refitted! I am 59 years old and I have recently had Invisalign treatment followed by some composite bonding and I can truly say that it has changed my life. I was always very conscious of my teeth and would never smile or have any photos taken. This also impacted my social life as I felt uncomfortable in social situations.Now the opposite is true.Neil and the team at Smil are amazing, so friendly and they completely put you at ease. Everything is explained in an easy to understand way and the whole process was a breeze.To anyone thinking of having treatment, go for it!

Visited Smil Dental Clinic today for my usual six month check. Required a filling sadly and as a dental patient with a serious phobia this would always be bad news. However Neil and his team knowing how uncomfortable I am with any visit I have with them made the whole experience painless and as Neil said “I survived “Anyone with a dental phobia will understand how I would have felt today. Fantastic dentist. I was nervous about having root canal treatment done on my molar but Gavin Seal made me feel so relaxed and at ease. He was thorough, efficient and kind throughout. Having a dentist that you can trust to give solid clinical reasoning around a treatment plan means everything. The best treatment for the patient rather than how much money can they make out of you. My husband and I have finally made the move we should have made sooner and registered back with Dr Neil Underhill at Smil. So a simple cost effective treatment has been provided rather than the unnecessary and expensive option pushed elsewhere. Neil was our dentist for many years and it’s good to be back in safe hands. Actually feel relieved about not having to go back to our current dentist.

Neil is a fantastic friendly dentist. I’ve been seeing him for over 25 years now and he’s always been really accommodating to my needs. My fitted veneers lasted years beyond what was expected and so I trusted Neil to do them again for me for my upcoming trip to the USA; to which he fitted me into his busy schedule on short notice. I even travelled half way across the country to have them fitted professionally because I know he will always do a great job. I also had some composite bonding work and whitening done to which has really improved my smile greatly. Smil is a very accommodating place and all the staff and dental assistants there are very kind and helpful. Overall I know I am in safe hands with Neil and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone to him. Thanks Neil and the Smil team!

I recently joined Smil following a recommendation from a friend after struggling to register with a NHS dentist. I’m not one for the dentist and have always been super anxious when visiting but these guys have been amazing, after just a few visits I already feel more comfortable and confident about the whole thing. The building is super clean and the staff are fantastic, but I must give a special mention to Neil and Rosie, both visits Rosie has been great in reassuring me as I’ve been so nervous which in return has helped me stay calm, Neil has been fantastic and explains everything that will be happening and has provided me with great advice also, I have now signed up to the monthly plan which shows just how happy I am at this dentist! Would recommend to everyone ☺️

Just come back from a visit to Smil. I have to say this is the best dentist I have ever had. All the staff are friendly & helpful. The premises are clean & comfy. Neil, the dentist is great, friendly & efficient. Went out of his way to fit a crown for me. The hygienist , also great. Very thorough and gentle ( not always the way with hygienists.) Unfortunately I can only give 5 stars. Would give more if I could.

After months of following Smil's progress from the start through social media, today I finally got to visit them. Whilst the practice had looked great in photos, in real life it was breath taking! The spotless modern decor and relaxing ambiance were noticeable as I walked in. Charlotte at reception was very friendly and showed me around. I was impressed to see all the state-of-the-art technology, two intra oral scanners, the CBCT machine, and the newest toy of all.. the Blanc One whitening system. I have not even come across this before, very up to date and modern.
